The Staff

The Staff at Fast Running Paws consists of primarily me,  Alyssa, and my six children.  Outside help is accepted when we have a larger number of dogs, or are called out of town.  We welcome volunteers anytime!!   The kids are a big part of training these dogs to be good pets.  The dogs  get used to being around all the energy and excitement of kids running around and being loud.   Even Gracie Jayne, only 4 months old, helps the dogs learn to be gentle around small humans.  The four older children, Alicia, Abby, Arianna and DJ, are being shown how to properly clicker train and be strong leaders around the dogs.  Lilly, the middle child at 4 years, has a natural way with them and can get any dog, so far, to respect her and sit with only eye contact.  The children are ALWAYS under supervision while working with the dogs.  They enjoy learning and I enjoy teaching them, both kids and dogs!

A little history
Fast Running Paws isn't really a company, more like a Passion, a dream,  made possible by my family and these beautiful dogs.  I have wanted to rescue animals since I was a little girl. Who among us hasn't brought home a puppy or kitten that we "found" somewhere?!  Only now, at 32 years old, can I start to make this dream come true.   I hope to someday have a training facility and to be able to house more animals, including wildlife.  I want to save them all and will do my best to try!  I do, however, know my limits of what I can and cannot do and must stop myself all the time from taking in every stray I hear about!  Let me help you find a home for your dog or cat by posting it on the internet.  Any area, any breed. Thank you for visiting my site and taking time to look it over. Any feedback is apreciated! Don't forget to sign the guestbook!

FYI:
I have recieved some emails and comments about my site and what I do stating that I am not qualified to say that I help Wolf Dogs. I wanted to add to my page that I am just as qualified as any other Wolf Dog owner and am not trying to do things I cannot do. I am a responsible person and take very good care of ANY animal (or any living thing for that matter) on my site. I never claim to be an expert on anything. I just take all my experiences and experiences of others and apply them as needed. So, if you have a problem with me or my site all I have to say to you is don't look at it. PEACE

 Today:
Finally! Winter is here. We have a ton of fun on the farm in the winter. The dogs love to run the empty fields and we always enjoy a good sled run! We have been blessed with a lot of snow this year too It is like a real Wisconsin winter! Hope everyone has a safe and happy winter season.

A great place for kids and animals!

The "kids", Onawa and Danny, enjoy their day outings to the beach!
As you can see I use the gentle leader head collar on some of the dogs.  It works well on most of them!  Onawa here is one of the ones that really put it to the test!!   After realizing she wasn't going to get it off, she gave in and now can be walked well by the kids!
